Miami 5k Race Series Branding & Event Visual Identity

Organization: Multiple Miami-based race organizations
Role: Freelance Creative & Brand Designer
Timeline: Ongoing seasonal event campaigns

The Goal

Develop cohesive, high-impact visual identities for local 5k race events that drive registrations, strengthen brand recognition, and create memorable participant experiences across digital and physical touch points.

The Challenge

Each race required a distinct visual concept that felt energetic, community-driven, and scalable across marketing materials and race-day assets. Designs needed to resonate with diverse audiences while remaining practical for production - from digital promotion to medals, shirts, bibs, and signage.

As a freelance partner, I was responsible for translating event themes into cohesive visual systems that functioned across both marketing and physical execution.

My Role

  • Led visual concept development for individual race themes

  • Designed custom race logos and branding systems

  • Created marketing graphics for digital promotion

  • Designed participant-facing materials including medals, shirts, and bibs

  • Ensured design consistency across signage and environmental assets

  • Collaborated directly with race organizers and production vendors

Strategy & Approach

Drive registrations, awareness, and community engagement for the annual Superhero 5k - a family-friendly fundraising event supporting children battling cancer.

Results & Impact

  • Developed unique creative concepts tailored to each race’s theme and audience

  • Built scalable visual systems adaptable to digital and print applications

  • Balanced bold, high-energy design with clarity and legibility for production

  • Prioritized strong, recognizable branding to enhance participant experience and retention

  • Designed with real-world production in mind (print, fabric, metal, signage)

Here, creativity meets opportunity.
